NFL Picks – Week 8

Mitch Linsley | October 24th, 2017 |

My week 8 picks. Last weekend I went 4-1 in games I actually bet on. If you take my advice and lose I apologize. I am not advising you to bet on every single game like a maniac.

Vikings @ Browns (London)

The Browns have alternated losing by either a lot or a little each week this entire season. Last week they lost by 3 in overtime to Tennessee. The past few seasons, London has been where coaches and GMs go to die. Minnesota is 5-2 against the spread in 2017, I don’t think Hue Jackson can save his job.

Vikings -9.5 (-110)

Miami @ Baltimore

The Ravens have lost three straight and are due for a big win at home. Joe Flacco likes the Thursday night spotlight.

Ravens -3.0 (-120)

Falcons @ Jets

Atlanta just got humiliated by the Patriots and will want revenge on a weak Jets team.

Falcons -4.0 (-110)

Colts @ Bengals

The Colts are bad… But the Bengals are also bad. Should be an easy cover for Indy.

Colts +10 (-105)

Panthers @ Tampa Bay

Both these teams are wildly inconsistent and the spread is super close. You’d honestly be better off just betting the over at 44.5

Panthers +2 (-110)

Raiders @ Bills

I don’t think the Raiders are as bad as a lot of people seem to think. Talented personnel, lot of time left in the season to turn it around. Bills aren’t particularly good, either.

Oakland +2.5 (-105)

Chargers @ Patriots

Don’t outsmart yourself here.

Patriots -7.5 (-105)

Bears @ Saints

The Bears defense has been great the past two weeks, let’s see how they stack up against Drew Brees. Chicago’s offense registered only three points at home last week.

Saints -9.0 (-110)

49ers @ Eagles

The Niners are nothing short of terrible and the Eagles hold the best record in the NFC. Expect a blowout in Philly.

Eagles -12.5 (-110)

Texans @ Seahawks

My favorite game of the week. I’m a firm believer in Deshaun Watson, said before the draft he should go first overall. I’m also a firm believer in Seattle always being highly overrated.

Texans +5.5 (-110)

Cowboys @ Redskins

NFC East matchups are always close, Washington dominated Philly for a quarter and a half.

Skins +2.5 (-110)

Steelers @ Lions

Pittsburgh has been hot. Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell have finally caught up to speed. Can Matt Stafford restore the roar?

Steelers -3.0 (-105)

Broncos @ Chiefs

This Chiefs team is too good to drop three straight. Trevor Siemian and the Broncos continue to waste an elite defense.

Chiefs -7.5 (-105)

*Keep in mind this is a new thread, results will be recorded each following week
